Today’s post is all about how to restyle a dress. There are several benefits to restyling a dress, but the main reason is by re-wearing the dress in different ways, it saves you money. It allows you to appear to be other outfits when in fact it’s the same dress. Everyone likes to save money, right?! So in the effort of saving you (and myself) money, I’m going to share a few ways to restyle a dress.
Restyling Your Dresses
1. Add a Top
By adding a top or sweater to a dress, it essentially turns the dress into a skirt. I prefer to pair the dress with the sweater or t-shirt and tie a knot for style points. Wearing a t-shirt, shirt, or blouse under a strappy dress will also set your look apart from the others.
2. Wear a Duster or Blazer
A duster or a blazer is the perfect way to change the look and vibe of the dress. The blazer will add a chic element that can turn a dress into the perfect girlboss look. A duster can add a romantic or boho vibe as well.
3. Change up Your Accessories
Accessories are the best ingredients to modify any look, especially a dress. You can switch your heels for boots or booties. Adding a belt will often add a waist or emphasize a waist.
So many cute options for wearing the same dress. In the photos, I’m wearing a leopard print dress, which is a little more difficult to restyle, but totally possible. If the dress is a basic or a neutral color, the possibilities are endless (well almost endless).
